Valuing human lives saves your own

How does our personal placement of value on the innocent human lives of others save our own lives?

Here’s how:

A respect for human life, securing dignity for ourselves, for other people, is a foundation for prosperity. Protecting the lives of innocents, rather than destroying them, protects everyone.

This is why and how we maintain a civil society.

It is why we promote safety and are against human trafficking. America was founded, in part, on the principle that life is worth preserving. It was recognized by our founders that God treasures His human creation. We as Americans today succeed by doing likewise.

Our Declaration of Independence contains words on the value of human life, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The “Life” part pertains to human dignity, purpose, and preservation.

Some people will say outright they have no regard for life, their own lives or anyone else’s.

We have actual people in America who have no moral issue with taking an innocent human life from a womb, cutting it up, and selling its parts.

But life comes from God and God esteems life. This is one of the self-evident truths our Declaration of Independence is talking about.

If we cannot value innocent human life and protect it, we will destroy ourselves as a free and prosperous nation.

 

Read that again:

If we cannot value innocent human life and protect it, we will destroy ourselves as a free and prosperous nation.

 

Think about the mission of Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood. Let the societal ruin that makes up the meaning of what she thought was best for humanity, sink in:

“The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it,” – Woman and the New Race, Margaret Sanger, 1920.

What’s wrong with Sanger’s view here?

A civil society cannot thrive by killing its children. It is an immense, national failure to pursue the barbaric practice of abortion and force the funding of it through taxpayer monies.

Sanger’s comment does not work as a moral function for individuals or a nation. A pure people comes about through morality and valuing human life, not through getting rid of those who seem less capable of contributing.

This is rather an arrogant thought. Who but God decides if someone disabled will or will not contribute enough?

We all fall short including people deemed the best and brightest, or most visibly capable. Mercy helps someone survive, restore, become whole and at peace. Sanger had no understanding of mercy.

This is why America argues against honoring such a woman as Sanger with her beliefs.

And why women who have experienced abortion are fighting against the barbaric practice because they now realize what they did was wrong.

Yes, the practice of abortion is barbaric and everyone knows it though many deny it.

This is why the practice of it is such a controversy.

And why women regret abortion and America does not celebrate some annual holiday to glorify it.

No one goes around celebrating having an abortion because it is painful to lose that baby’s life no matter what causes the loss. I don’t care if there are women who hold up signs at rallies proclaiming pride over their abortions. Get each of those women alone and ask them personally, you will find every one of them is hurting over her decision to abort and regrets it deeply.

Abortion causes death. It creates nothing to celebrate. It only creates more problems than advocates propose it solves.

Some people, especially abortion providing physicians and nurses, are numb to the procedure. One must become numb to the practice to ever face the fact that abortion means killing an innocent human life. It does not matter the development stage of the human life at the time of an abortion. No matter what stage of the pregnancy, it is known that the procedure kills a human.

Unfortunately, too many times there is no one to support a woman to get her through her difficult time of carrying the baby to term and to give the child up for adoption rather than destroy it. And it is no help to her especially when abortion facility staff members do nothing to help a woman experiencing an unwanted pregnancy consider that she has the option of having the baby and giving the child up for adoption.

It is of no help to her to tell her the only option she has is to abort. She might ultimately decide to abort, but there is everything right and good and helpful for the woman to at least care enough about her to be sure she is fully informed about all of her options which includes options other than abortion.

 

The bottom line about the practice of abortion is this:

 

  • We were not designed to destroy children.
  • This was never God’s plan.
  • We make choices because we have free will.
  • Our choice is why sin exists in the world.

But choice does not mean we have to practice sin. We can ask God for forgiveness and His gift of salvation through Christ that costs us nothing to receive, but cost God the death of His own son all because He loves us.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

And if God did not value life, then we would have no moral issue with abortion and everyone would applaud the practice.

But we naturally know aborting our children is wrong. Anyone wanting to fund abortion needs to raise the money for it out of their own pockets and not ask their fellow Americans to pay for it for them. Seriously: If you were a pregnant woman, would you ask your neighbor to chop up or poison your baby inside your womb? That is exactly what you, if you are an abortion supporter, abortion doctor, or abortion lobbyist, are asking your fellow Americans to do. But this is what abortion is all about. It is why abortion is painful mentally, physically for a woman and her baby, and to America as a whole.

 

Abortion supporters:

 

If you support abortion, seriously think about what you are asking of Americans who disagree with you. You are asking them to kill life. Call it what you want – it doesn’t matter. What you are asking for is all still the same. You are asking to be allowed, by law, and through funding by people who are not hardened to the fact it is wrong, to kill a human who is growing inside a womb. That is disturbing beyond words.

Justify it all you want. But this is what you are asking for.

Maybe you experienced abortion yourself and you’re in so much pain over it that you justify your actions by glorifying it.

Those who disagree with you, those who are pro-life, feel sorry for you if that is the case. But do not expect everyone else to glorify the practice as some wholesome, culturally profitable, peaceful effort with you. It is not. They will love you and help you in other ways. But do not demand that everyone support something destructive to you, them, and future Americans because there are better ways to solve problems than to cut up and poison children to death, which are methods of abortion, who cannot protect themselves.

Doing so is only a next step to other similar destruction such as getting rid of people who are disabled. It’s the same principle. Someone in a wheel chair cannot walk, and it could seem they produce less than anyone else. But if you are bent toward producing perfect people, as was Sanger – and news flash –you are not a perfect person either. No one is. Not me, not you, not anyone.

And then where does it stop? Is it ok to abort a baby at the moment of conception or while the child’s foot is exiting the birth canal in the final process of birth?

Let me answer with this: Whether I was that baby newly conceived or just about born, I would not want to be killed at any point in my development process.

Neither would you.

Why is that? Because we want to live.

Every human being wants to live, and live in peace. If you are numb to why human life is valuable and needs to be preserved by all means for yourself, for a civil, free people America wants to be, then figure it out and figure it out fast. We cannot go on this way and remain a dignified and civil or free country.

And you know there are other options. Pregnancy centers are available to help women through their pregnancies and after their babies are born. You are fully aware of this because many of you are trying to destroy those pregnancy help centers.

Do you know what this means? It means all you care about is money.

It means all you care about is drawing down tax dollars and other funding for the amount of abortions you provide. If you say this is not true, it does not matter because everyone looks at your refusal to appreciate the pregnancy centers and other life-affirming organizations and it looks very much to everyone that all you care about is the money you get from performing abortions and wanting to do more of them.

That is exactly what it looks like no matter what you say in defense of abortion. It does not matter what you are saying. Your actions are screaming an undeniable truth.

Everyone against abortion can only look at you and say “who cares what abortion supporters say.” It looks like they don’t care at all about women and the abortion people are just moral failures because they refuse to appreciate efforts to help women through difficult times.”

It looks like you could not care less for women when you attack people running pregnancy help centers and anyone else wanting to support a woman who just would like to be fully informed about what she is doing before she decides to abort her baby. If you cared, you would refer her to places like pregnancy help centers first before performing her abortion – instead of making it out as if there are no other options for her – as if there are no future parents waiting to adopt and love those babies if given a chance to live.

An individual or nation that does not value life does not know that God loves them.

If you are in favor of abortion and excoriating people who are against abortion – stop it. If you cannot stop it, ask God to help you stop. Get alone somewhere and ask Him why He cares about human life and why you should, too.

Look at history.

Look at Adolf Hitler and why he and Margaret Sanger had similar views. Look at what their beliefs mean in light of what you are doing today, and for example how Sanger’s mission for Planned Parenthood is today a continuation of Hitler and Sanger’s goals to get rid of those they deemed inferior, or who would bring about what they thought too large a population, back in early the 1900s when Planned Parenthood was founded.

By supporting abortion, you are wrecking your own freedom. You are wrecking your own life.

You might not see it today, but you are contributing to the weakening of America.

And if you mock my words, who cares?

You’re accountable to me only for a while as a fellow taxpayer and only for a while are I and others disappointed in your poor choices. But you are accountable to God, for eternity, for your choices, for your actions toward His human creation – just like the rest of us. It is never too late to turn to God who forgives, redeems and restores.

Valuing human life will save yours. Those of us who live in God’s grace understand this truth. I guarantee it.
